Grace MK

Grace MK is a Yale University graduate with a degree in African Studies and Architecture. Grace was born in Kenya and grew up in San Diego, California. Her dual identity fuels her passion for studying East African development at Yale. On campus she has served the Black Student Alliance at Yale as membership coordinator, as well as social chair for the Yale Black Women's Coalition. She has also served as Co-president and co-founder of Students of the Diaspora, a Yale undergraduate student organization that aimed to unite the spectrum of experiences within the African Diaspora.

At Tsai CITY (Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale), she has served as a Social Entrepreneurship Student Coordinator who engaged the campus Social Entrepreneurship Collaborative in partnerships that fostered an entrepreneurial synergy at Yale University. As a former student advisor to the Student Advisory Group on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, she aspires to ensure that all of Yale University is a safe space for students of color on campus. Currently, Grace is excited in the launch of CRANE and her role as a Project Officer. Given her background and experiences, Grace is excited to have the opportunity to lead CRANE initiatives to empower young people and communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
